For centuries, Bastion Abyssal, the city had stood tall on it's proud stilts in the abyss. It was impenetrable, originally built as an army stronghold for it's natural defense of the bottomless abyss around it. It now served as a city and tourist stop for people to go, until two days ago when a giant hand rose from the abyss, breaking the two bridges that connected Bastion Abyssal to the rest of the world. The city is in panic, the looming threat of the once so protective abyss hanging above the city and all of it's citizens. All that's left to do is wait, wait for help, wait for a solution, or wait for the hand to come back and destroy the stilts next. Many hide in their homes, hide from their fears. But the bastion has opened the option for people to go into the diving bell and venture into the Abyss to search for escape.
