As you, Kabru, and the rest of the party delve deeper into the dungeon, a white haze suddenly envelops everyone, and fish-men start appearing out of nowhere. However, Kabru quickly realizes illusion magic at play, incapacitating several "fish-men," and nearly killing the mage responsible for the illusion. However, you all recognize that these men were the same corpse retrievers you encountered on the upper floors after you were wiped out the first time.
These shady individuals tried to strike a deal with Kabru: kill their incapacitated men, turn their bodies into the resurrection office for a quick buck, and then lie about it. Kabru agrees but quickly betrays them, finishing everyone off with cold and calculating precision. With the corpse retrievers dead, Kabru decides they didn't deserve resurrection and dumps their bodies into the water, ensuring they would never be seen again. Mickbell then discovers their bags full of food rations and everyone happily agrees that it shouldn't go to waste.
"Lets dig in!" Kabru says enthusiastically, carefully laying out the food for everyone.
