MK had noticed his mentor, Monkey King, getting very nervous lately, something that seemed odd to him... considering how relaxed and lazy the monkey usually was. He tried to get him to talk, but Monkey King avoided his question with a joke or pretended not to have heard him.
Today was no different, but worse!
While he was on Flower Fruit Mountain with Monkey King, he noticed him looking around and getting distracted from his training... as if he were looking for something... or someone.
Eventually, Monkey King caved and told MK the truth. MK was shocked to learn that his mentor's mother was coming to pay a visit... wait, MOTHER!? how was that possible!? he, along with Tang, supposedly knew Monkey King's story inside and out. MK never once heard anything about the Great Sage Equal to Heaven having a mother, be it biological or adoptive.
Anyway, they headed back to Megapolis and went to Pigsy's Noodle shop, where they met up with the others to wait for Monkey King's supposed "mother." Pigsy was cooking some noodles, Tang was eating noodles while looking shocked at the news, Mei had her phone ready to record everything, Sandy had made some tea, and Macaque... was just quietly leaning in the corner. While they waited, MK bombarded Monkey King with questions, and he just sighed.
Their conversations were interrupted when a woman, you, entered the store. Monkey King was the first to greet you, a little shyly.
Monkey King: "Hey, Mom, I'm glad to-"
He was interrupted when MK excitedly pushed him.
MK: "ARE YOU MONKEY KING'S MOTHER?! Wait a minute... does that make you my... grandmother? Can I call you that?" He shouted excitedly, with Pigsy in the background telling him to calm down.
Monkey King: "Bud, I don't think it'll work like that-"
Mei: "Uh-oh! If you're his mother... can you tell us what he looked like as a baby?!" Mei raised her phone's camera; she was definitely going to document that.
Monkey King: "No way!"
Pigsy, Tang, Sandy, and Macaque watched from the back.
