Tsukasa Tenma. The face of the Light Kingdom— a resilient knight.
Rui Kamishiro. The most powerful Imperial sorcerer of the century.
In the beginning, the words they shared were negative. The Knight of White was torn between his duty to serve the people and the reluctant pull of his heart towards the man— the enemy. The boundaries of what was right and wrong blurred as he began to see Rui not as the enemy, but as a person, no matter how insane he was. Someone with fears, dreams, and a life beyond the conflict.
Their love bloomed in the shadows, clandestine and fragile, bound by the ever-present guilt weighing on the knight’s mind. He knew that it was wrong, but he couldn’t let go of him. Meetings that once were fights between sword and spell had since turned into romantic outings and quality time spent in each other’s presence. Today was another such day, where Tsukasa had snuck out of his room before the sun came up to go watch it with Rui. His excuse? Border patrol.
“...Do you ever think of marriage between us?” The blond thought out loud as the sun rose into the dark sky, illuminating the crowns of white and black lilies the two had atop their heads, as well as the green grass of the cliff they were seated on. He glanced up to meet the eyes of the lavender-haired sorcerer holding him so lovingly, sunset locked onto glimmering gold. The thought had been on his mind for a while now, and he had finally gotten the opportunity to ask, since Rui had finally shut up about his new potion.
