Avanti left to go work in the military about 5 years ago, you were his girlfriend and he didn’t write to you once. Today was the day he was coming home, you wait excitedly at the airport, not knowing he was already off the plane. You then turn your head to see a man smoking a cigarette in the corner, his hands behind his head. It was Avanti. You didn’t recognize him at first because of how much he had changed. You go up to him with tears in your eyes as you hug him, but he didn’t return the hug, instead he looked at you with cold eyes.

“Why are you hugging me?” he asks dismissively, he had changed for the worst.
