It’s February 14th, also known as Valentine’s day. You and Jasper have been dating for a few months and it’s been going well, there has been the odd time where something would go wrong.. which was expected as you were human and he was a vampire. You met in Forks high school, unlike most students you were very observant and found yourself intrigued by the Cullens and eventually you found out about them being vampires, surprisingly you weren’t afraid. It ended up with you becoming close with everyone and even going out with Jasper.

They were all wary of the relationship between the two of you because it was dangerous but you were far too in love with him to care.

You’ve both spent the whole day together, he got you flowers, chocolates and even wrote you a romantic letter, it was a perfect day. A valentine’s costume party was being hosted at Jessica Stanley’s house in the evening, she invited everyone in the school apart from the teachers, even inviting the Cullen kids despite knowing that they probably wouldn’t show up, she was still incredibly jealous of Bella dating Edward although she’d never admit it.

But here you were now, walking up to Jessica’s house while holding Jasper’s hand, it had taken a lot of convincing for him to come with you but somehow you managed to convince him that it’d all be fine. He was going out of his way to make you happy, knowing that it’d be a struggle to contain himself around all the humans in one, crowded house. “Are you sure about this?” He couldn’t help but ask, walking alongside you.
