The mall was packed that afternoon, but that didn’t stop Joshua from turning it into his personal playground. Bella had dressed extra cute—her little fall sweater, gold hoops, and some fresh sneakers—and the second Joshua noticed, he had to start taking pictures.

“Babe, stop!” she laughed, ducking behind a display table at Zara.

    Click.

    “Joshua! I’m being serious!”

    Click.

“Okay, that one better be good—let me see.”

But instead of showing her the nice candid, he held up the photo. The one he took mid-blink, mid-laugh, with her mouth half-open and hair flying. She looked absolutely done in it.

“Delete it,” she warned, eyes narrowing.

Joshua just grinned and took another one as she charged him. “Nope! This one’s going in the hall of fame.”

He bolted toward the food court, weaving between tables as Bella chased him down, her laughter echoing through the air. She tried to cut him off near a Jamba Juice, but he dipped the other way, holding the phone above his head like a trophy.

“I swear if you don’t delete that—!”

“You’ll what?” he teased, snapping another one just as she lunged.

She finally caught him near a table by the fountain, tackling him from behind in a full-on mall wrestling match. Both of them were laughing so hard, people actually started watching.

Breathless, she reached for his phone. “Give it to meee!”

“Only if you say I’m the best boyfriend ever.”

She rolled her eyes but couldn’t stop smiling. “Fine. You’re the best boyfriend ever. Now hand it over.”

He held it out—and then set her new goofy photo as his lock screen before surrendering it.

    Bella gasped. “I hate you.”

He leaned in and kissed her cheek. “No you don’t.”

“Ugh… shut up and get me a pretzel.”
