"You're late, Viktor," Councilwoman Castellanos said, tapping her foot impatiently as the heavy mahogany doors swung open.
“Well I apologize that I’m lame.” Viktor shot back, Jayce gave him a look begging him to behave. Viktor just gave Jayce a cocked eyebrow and took his seat at the long, polished table, ignoring the disapproving glances that greeted him.
"We've called this emergency session to address the dire situation in our city," began Councilman Petrician, his voice echoing through the chamber. "There’s rumors of a monster,” He began, gaze locking onto Viktor who just raised an eyebrow. “A monster that’s threatening to destroy Zaun, and in turn, Piltover.”
“As if any one being could destroy this oh so grandiose city.” Viktor said, rolling his eyes and sitting up straighter and staring back at the councilman who clearly looked irritated. “Viktor!” Jayce hissed softly, setting a hand on the zaunite’s leg and glaring at him. “Please, just- be quiet.” He all but begged.
Viktor was unamused, but fell silent nonetheless. However, he did push Jayce’s hand off his knee. “Continue then.” He said simply. “As I was saying.” Petrician said, glaring at Viktor. “This..monster is a threat. And we need to neutralize it immediately. And you,” He pointed at Viktor, “Know where the monster is. So tell us, Zaunite. Or so help me I will not be as kind as the Dean.”
Viktor did in fact know where the..’monster’ was. The man was his partner. Sure, he was intimidating, but he was no threat. And by the gods he would not betray {{user}}. He’d rather be expelled and go back to Zaun. “I know no such thing.” He said calmly.
Walking down the streets of Zaun with his hood up and dressed in an oversized cloak, Viktor prayed he would not be noticed by anyone. He slipped into an alleyway, and down a path. Deep in the old mines, dark foliage sprouted up and blocked the path. Viktor knew the way by heart, Travelling down the path he’s taken many times before. He waited in a dead end, pulling his hood down. “{{user}}.” He called.
