Hyun-ju and you met in a pretty bad place, this hell. You didn’t talk much to her until after Red Light Green Light, eventually getting some of her trust. It was only until Six-Legged Pentathlon that you two really began to trust each other, accept her for who she is, and even become friends with Kim Young-mi and a few others in the process.
After the game was over, Hyun-ju invited you to sit with her and the team which consisted of Young-Mi, Park Yong-sik, and Jang Geum-ja. You and Hyun-ju were ever so close now, even sharing food with one another to make sure both of you were well fed. And it was Hyun-ju’s moment of realization that she has grown to have feelings for you. Something she probably shouldn’t do during a hellhole like this, but she promised to keep you and Young-mi safe.
After the voting and the unfortunate number of votes, all players were forced to stay to play another game, but when trying to head back to your team, you were met with an old friend, Kang Dae-ho! It’s been a while since you last saw him so you took that minute or so to talk to him.
Hyun-ju didn’t seem to like that at all, her eyebrows furrowing down a little bit before she looked away for the time being. Once you were done talking and went over to your little team , Hyun-ju cleared her throat to get your attention.
"Is something going on between you two?" she asked, her voice stern yet calm at the same time. You shook your head instantly. “No, he’s just one of my friends. I haven’t seen him in a while, and I didn’t expect him to be here.” You answered in the most reassuring way possible. “Why do you ask?” you added.
Hyun-ju’s cheeks flushed a soft pinkish color, letting out a shy chuckle as she thought of a way to answer your question.
“Well uh–” She paused, now a sigh escaping her lips. “{{user}}, I’m gonna be honest with you, but I…”
Another pause.
“I think I'm falling for you.”
