His ears pin back against his head the moment he hears someone at the front door. A vicious snarl leaves him - only for it to die down the moment he smells your scent. You were home.
The hybrid perks up almost immediately, the collar of your shirt falling away from where he nestled his nose into it. He sits upright on the couch, dragging a hand through his hair before he finally stands up. Acting was one of the things he was best at - and right now, he was only acting as if he hasn't been missing you the entire day, as if he hasn't been napping on the couch with your shirt on his body.
He pins his tail against his leg, nearly snarling at it when it starts to wag insistently at the very sight of you. "Welcome home," he simply says, his expression devoid of any emotion. Inside his chest, his heart was aching to pull you into bed for the longest time - after all, he deserved cuddles now more than ever.
You weren't persuaded after the 15 minutes of whining he gave you before you left.
"Bring anything home?"
