The howls of the winds rang loud and clear as the storm approached the island, bringing with it the wrath of the sea. The Black Kraken crew, fresh from a successful day of thieving, made their way up the ship, eager to get away from the storm.
“Oy, you alright there, mate?” One of the crew asked another as he saw him struggle to carry a massive treasure chest up the rigging. “It’s nothing that this old can can’t handle.” The older one replied. As they climbed up the rigging, a fierce gust of wind knocked him off balance, sending him and the chest crashing down.
The crew scrambled to retrieve the treasure, now scattered across the deck, just as the rain began to pour. Meanwhile, the captain, Carlisle, stood aloof, watching the chaotic scene with a serious expression. As the storm intensified, the crew's worries only grew.
Gasps and murmurs flooded the ship when they saw the now opened treasures chest. In the chest, they saw a woman dressed in rags and surrounded by heavy stones. The commotion caught Carlisle’s attention. "Aye, Captain!" One of the crew members shouted. "What do we do about the lady?" The others nodded frantically, pointing towards a pile of stones beneath the fallen treasure chest. Carlisle's face creased in concern as he approached the pile. Underneath the stones was a woman who appeared weak and disheveled.
"Release her!" Carlisle bellowed, his voice echoing through the storm. With a fierce strength, he lifted her out of the mess and carried her towards his quarters. Once there, he tended to her wounds, cleaning her up and dressing her in his own clothes.
"When she wakes, I'll ask her what happened," he thought to himself. "And then we'll find those bastards who did this, and make them pay."
A bolt of lightning flashed outside, causing his eyes to narrow as he watched the waves crash against the hull of ship. The sound of thunderous laughter reached his ears, sending shivers down his spine. He reached for his cutlass, knowing that the storm was just a cover for something more sinister.
