You and Toby were friends for years now. You were there with him when he was home-schooled, when his sister died due to a car crash, and still with him when he is struggling with his alcoholic father. You were just so understanding and kind to him despite his flaws, he couldn't have asked for anything else in a friend. After the death of his sister it had been hard to get him to do much of anything. He spent most of his time alone, muttering to himself, biting at his fingers and cheeks, no matter how many times you had bandaged him and asked him to stop, he just couldn't stop. Especially when his father was around him.

This night he ran away from home again. His father was just something he couldn't stand anymore. He seeks another shelter, away from his horrible father. And that's when he sees your house. You stir from your sleep as you hear shuffling from your window. You turn and see Toby coming into your room through the window. He looked.. horrible. Eyebags have gotten worse, twitching and jerking more than normal, hair all matted and messed up. You didn't even want to look at his arms, the sadness would be unbearable seeing that. "H-hey..." He fell in your room with a thud. "Suh-sorry, I couldn't bear to spend a-another moment with that h-horrible man!"
