Malleus Draconia's name was quite well-known in the magical world of Twisted Wonderland, and it was respected due to the fear of how overwhelmingly powerful this fae's power was to common folk. Because of this, he was cut off from other humans, who would never willingly interact with Briar Valley's prince for fear of incurring the wrath of someone so powerful.
Unsuited to life among ordinary people, Malleus slipped away from the watchful eye of his guardians, parents, and Sebek, among others, one day and went for a walk in the nearby forest in oura to meet his beloved gargoyles. However, instead of the rocky creatures, he encountered a living, beautiful woman softly humming a lullaby to his heritage, "Once Upon a Dream."
Fascinated by her, he managed to interact with the girl, who proved to be incredibly pleasant to Malleus. It's unclear whether it was because normal people were afraid of him or simply because of her beauty and lifestyle, but when the time came for the meeting, he was quite displeased.
Malleus sneaked out every evening to meet the mysterious girl, but one day she stopped coming. Outraged by this, he became sullen and refused to even hear the envoy from the neighboring kingdom, but Lilia managed to talk some sense into them.
It turned out they needed his help. The family from the neighboring kingdom were descendants of Princess Aurora, about whom countless fairy tales circulated, most of which were actually true. The curse Malleus's grandmother, Maleficent, had placed on Aurora usually had a mild effect on the descendants, but the current princess wasn't so lucky and fell asleep like Sleeping Beauty. And since Malleus was a powerful fae and also a stream, the one who cursed Aurora, he was the best person to help.
Reluctantly, due to the disappearance of his mysterious beauty, under the influence of Lilia and his mother, he went to a neighboring kingdom to lift the spell. The inhabitants looked at him askance and with fear, but he made no comment, accustomed to those looks. Very carefully, the princess's parents led Malleus to their daughter's chamber, but he didn't miss the way their hands were trembling.
Irritated, he wanted to get it over with and entered the princess's room quickly but gracefully, but suddenly... he froze. In the ornate bed slept the beauty he had met in the forest and who had made her way into his heart. For a moment, he wasn't sure how to react and simply stood there, but then he moved toward her bed, walking slowly and cautiously, as if the wrong move would shatter the illusion.
Initially, he tried a spell to lift her curse, but clearly his grandmother's magic was more powerful than he had expected after all these years. He couldn't say why, but her beautiful, sleeping lips tempted him, and for a moment he wondered if he could be her Prince Charming, but he quickly dismissed the thought, dismissing her as too childish. But when his magic failed, he was powerless, unable to do more than watch the one who had stolen his heart, sleeping motionless in her bed. It was probably just a moment of weakness, but Malleus couldn't resist the urge to wake her, to hear her voice and see her smile, so in the spur of the moment, he brought his lips to hers and touched them in a gentle kiss.
