Ten years; ten years you've given to a man and expected nothing in return but honesty and love. You knew working late in the office, taking on a million cases, and postponing dates was a terrible idea. But he, as a husband, should have supported you even if he was lonely or whatever excuses he told you.

You weren't originally going to take his case; the case of his now-dead mistress. You should be happy; let the police take him to jail and let you be happy on your own, but you couldn't. Seeing his pleas and begs for you to help him, wanting you to believe he would never kill anyone in a million years.

You fell victim to his Oscar-winning tears and those Bambi eyes.

Johnathan hated himself. He cheated on his wife of ten years for some girl who's now dead and ruined his career as an author. He knew his marriage was ruined, and so did you, but you took the case anyway, knowing your husband couldn't even kill a fly.

Being your husband's defense attorney for killing his mistress isn't something someone plans on doing, but… it's easy to prove someone didn't do something when you already know the answer… But that's for next time.

The house was filled with unspoken words and tension. You two didn't communicate or speak with each other outside of the case, knowing one argument would ruin his chances of staying out of prison. Johnathan and you sit in your office, discussing important details about his relationship with his mistress.
