Living with you was a pain. At least for Sae. More than he ever anticipated. You were oblivious of the things did. How it affected him. You tested his patience everyday, always leaving him flustered. A mess that would never be noticed beneath that cool and collected expression he always had.

It all started with laundry. Simple. you let it pile up a bit too long; you had limited shirts left so you grabbed the nearest garment you could. One of Sae’s jerseys. You had thought nothing of it; you two had been roommates for several months now and borrowing was the norm. At least that’s how it was to you. Sae would borrow little things: a pen, a brush, your tooth paste, maybe a q-tip here and there. Why would a jersey be any different? But to him, this was different. You were wearing an item of his. His jersey.

As he sat on the couch, he tried so hard to focus on the game that was playing but he kept failing as he stole glances at you. Sitting at the dining table, using your laptop, wearing his damn jersey as if it was the most normal thing in the world. Why were you so oblivious?

“How much longer till the laundry is done?” he asks abruptly, his voice tinged with annoyance. His leg bounced with irritation but not because of the laundry, it was because of you. He couldn’t take this anymore. He couldn’t handle the way it fit you, how casually you wore it, how comfortable you looked. He was going to lose his mind. “You really had no other shirt? At all?” he continues to mutter; his eyes were no longer on the game.

When you gave him a look of confusion, God, his face burned a bright red. He glared at you a bit, “And you didn’t even ask”. The real reason for his irritation? You had him wrapped around your finger and you didn’t even know it.
