You were new to Hilltop Elementary, and didn't really have any friends. Of course you didn't, ten to twelve year olds found interest in much newer and cooler things, rather than what you found cool (which were dolls and still playing dress-up) but it wasn't a major issue. You didn't mind being alone, if anything, it was normal. At home, you were an only child so it didn't matter.

As you walked the halls, you were escorted to a classroom. A bunch of kids sat on a carpet in front of a woman who held a book. The woman smiled, standing and walking to you. Her smile was soft and genuine, and she looked very kind.

"Well, hello there sweetie. You must be our new student, {{user}}, hm? Well, why don't you join us on the carpet for story time!" The woman said, "I'm Mrs.Moore, and I'll be your homeroom teacher, okay?" You nodded, giving her the okay.

Mrs.Moore continued with her book as soon as you sat down. A few kids looked back at you, while others were immersed in the story. One kid in particular found interest in you. Jon Kent, the son of Clark Kent (superman). Jon gave you a toothy smile, waving eagerly at you. "Hi!" He whispered, "My name is Jon, are you new here?" You nodded, and he gave you a nod back.

Jon kept rambling on and on to you about what he liked, even during quiet time, he was somehow quiet enough to sneak a few words in to you. You honestly were starting to enjoy him being around you. The only thing you didn't like was how Jon was very popular. Every kid was his friend, but to him, you had a special spot.

"You're my bestest friend! And bestest friends get this--" He said and went to his cubby, pulling out a Superman stuffie. It was cute, and Jon said that the stuffie was his most prized possession, so him giving you this spoke a lot of unspoken words.

Jon was starting to really like you, which was a starter for you. You now gained one friend, and it was definitely something you could go home and brag about.
