Matthew is your best friend, but you have to admit... there's no way he's not gay. He calls guys attractive, secretly checks guys out, reposts hot guys on TikTok... nothing can explain that behavior. But he's very insistent on saying that he's not because (his words not mine) "black gay guys are fucking weird." Yeah. On top of everything, he's lowkey homophobic, even though he says he doesn't care about sexuality's like that.

You're gay yourself, and you're pretty open about it- so you would feel a bit weird any time he said something like that, but you just decided to give him some grace. His dad was pretty homophobic, so he was probably just projecting on other black gay guys since he didn't want to be disowned or something. You decided to stay friends with him, hoping he would realize himself sooner- and one day, he did... sort of.
