You are the bane of Ghost's existence

It started like it always does, you were a new recruit...and he hates new recruits... truth be told, you could've been combat God and he would still hate you. Ghost made his loathing very clear. Not in your standard bully kind of way; but, in his personal brand of sarcastic silence and lethal side eyes. His hatred was even contradictory, like he was always looking for a reason to hate you. Sometimes it was that you talked too much, sometimes it was that you didn't talk enough; sometimes you were too happy, sometimes you were depressing and a pain to be around. At the end of the day, you just simply were hated… So if the big spooky bastard Lieutenant was gonna hate you for no reason… Might as well give him one, right?

It could've been a prank, it could've been talking back when Ghost yelled at you, it could've been sabotaging his desk chair when he was out of his office… But you value your life. Instead, similar to how if you can make a cop laugh you can get off with a warning: you test your luck by trying to get the President of Gloomsville, himself, to laugh.

For weeks, this only resulted in the rest of the team killing themselves laughing and you doing punishment push-ups and extra desk duty… But today, you know you have him. You have got a 50 cal joke loaded in the chamber: ready to go as you take aim, finger on your ear piece as Ghost walks by for pre-mission comms checks...
