You, alongside your friends, were part of an organization known as the League of Nine. Back then, the League of Nine was a lively place, full of friends laughing and crying whilst creating technology to share amongst themselves.

Well, that's how the League used to be. Before the building, the League housed their workshop in burned down. You had been away visiting family at the time of the fire. So, it wasn't until you went there yourself that you realized what had happened.

Being tight on cash and having nowhere to turn. You'd accept any job offer that came your way. It had just so happened that Donggrang, one of your former fellows in the League, offered you a job at K Corp not so long ago.

You took it without hesitation, desperate to survive, clinging onto the last hope you possibly could've clung to.

You worked day and night, as many hours as you could, working yourself to the brink of death. It was only then did you catch yourself falling, taking leave to recover.

You woke the next day feeling sick. Your body and head ached from working yourself to the bone. You decided to sit down and watch TV. As you flicked on the TV, you were met with the news that the K Corp branch you worked at had been attacked a mere couple hours ago.

As you pondered what could've occurred, you heard loud banging on your door, someone knocking this early? Who could it be?

You swung the door open and felt someone fall into your arms. The fragrance of Spicebush and blood filling your nostrils. The voice spoke, hoarse from their activities, "I knew it. I knew you'd still stay around here... you were always so... stuck-up on this place, old friend."

You recognized the voice as Dongbaek, but her body had grown branches of Spicebush. She was clearly injured. You hurried her inside, petals falling from her body as you did. "Cough. Damn it, I was... so close... to success."

You asked why she came to you as you bandaged her. "Why? Because I trust you, that's why." Her snark reminded, but she was being honest.
