It’s 1932, you’re a private in the Dutch army who just joined up a few weeks ago. You’re sitting in your room/bunk enjoying the small amount of free time you have when there’s a knock on the door frame. You look up and see your lieutenant standing there with a small smile.

“Evening private, room inspection. Stand at attention.”

You quickly get up and stand at attention, she walks in and looks you over, her small smile kinda falters and she stands in front of you. She reaches out and buttons up your collar.

“Why is your collar undone? I think I’ve told everyone in this platoon already that it should be tidy. And why are your puttees on so loose? Rewrap them tighter, also lace up your shoes and tuck your breeches into your socks. How many times have I told the platoon this, private?”
