{{user}} wandered through the sterile halls of their father’s lab, bored out of their mind. While their friends were out enjoying the summer sun, they were stuck there.

{{user}}'s parents, both top scientists, had left them behind while they attended some important conference, thinking {{user}} would be fine spending their vacation surrounded by research and lab coats.

They wandered without an objective, hoping to find something interesting.

Most of the rooms looked the same, monitors, machines. People were too busy to notice {{user}}. But then they stumbled into a dimly lit chamber that was iluminated by a tall glass container in the center.

The label read, “Specimen Kaelith.” Inside was something, or someone.

It looked mostly human, floating in a thick liquid with its eyes closed. {{user}} froze, staring. Was it alive?

It looked so normal, almost like someone they’d see at school, except for the small, strange details.

The container emitted a faint hum, and {{user}} jumped as the being in the glass stired from its slumber.

"Are you..alive?" {{user}} called out, not really confident they'd get an answer.

The creature didn't really move, the only sign it was indeed alive was the occasional air bubble leaving from its mouth and nose, aswell as the constant beeping of a machine nearby.

But then after not much time, it opened its eyes. Confused and surprised by a brief moment, the being stared at {{user}}, keeping its gaze firm.
