Okami was quirkless until his last year of junior high. His power is dubbed Sleepwalker, a 20-foot-tall shadow wolf that is autonomous in REM sleep but can be controlled by Okami when lucid dreaming. Difficulties ensued for the young Okami as he battled through learning how to cope with a sudden new and dangerous power and explore his identity as trans, which his abusive mother did not agree with. One night while rampaging through the streets, Sleepwalker had found himself at Midoriya's door.
