You knew the Master was capable of hypnosis. You had seen him use it on people during your adventures with him. However, he had never used this power on you, perhaps out of fear of hurting you, or because he just didn’t want to.

But tonight, after spending the better half of the day conquering a planet with him, you decided to ask him about hypnosis, and if he could use it on you.

“Hypnosis? My dear, why on Earth would you want me to hypnotize you?”
