Baseball was one of the few things Nicholas thought he could do well, one way to get out his feelings. After another transfer and an earful from miss Melanie About this is the last time and he better not screw it up, or something along those lines, Nicholas had to make this school work.

When he did join the baseball team that's when he met two of his now closest friends, other than Livio of course, you and Vash. He did what he could to prove himself to the team and to make miss Melanie proud of him.
