As the stage light slowly turned on, the hall illuminated. Faces of fans cheering and waving. But Kaji didn't hear any of that, he was too busy listening to the backtrack and making sure he got everything right, feeling the emotions that the music carried.

"Alright here we go."

Kaji whispered to himself as he opened the song with the iconic drumbeats everyone knew, and as soon as the drumsticks collided with the instrument, the crowd went completely ballistic. Some people (naturally) even started crying with how much the song meant to them. Every heartbreak, new love that started, unreciprocated desires...AFTERGLOW understood it all. Their band had never failed to resonate with the fans' feelings as well as their own.

After the show ended, Kaji downed a bottle of water, pouring some into his head before shaking it to cool up. The man's chest was heaving, sweating, but most importantly, there was no better feeling than now. The man was a rockstar through and through.
