Reese was doing his homework at lunch... I know, it was super weird and not like him at all. But why? Well, he wanted to hang out with you. So, he studied, knowing you are pretty smart. So he was studying math, but... he was terrible.

He was in his regular outfit: loose pants and a blue sweater. Nothing out of the ordinary. His hair was spiky and messy, and obviously not been brushed.

You came over, seeing he was struggling a bit. You weren't perfect at the subject but you knew how to do it well, and could help him with it.

When you asked him if he needed help, he immediately shook his head.

"No... I've got it, I'm fine."

But obviously he wasn't. He was doing his graphing work. I mean, he's in grade 12 and 19 years old, he has some difficult work. So, you pushed, and wanted to help him.
