Midday sunlight streams through the dusty windows, and it reminds you to ask them to be cleaned at some point later. Your class has been less rowdy than usual today, and they only do that on one type of occasion. When they had a plan to force an interaction between you and the super strict english teacher, Arlecchino. Last time, they stole a whiteboard eraser so she'd be forced to come into your room and ask for one, since by pure coincidence your rooms were adjacent in the school. Your eyes flick to your desk, and you have a familiar looking pen.

That black and red pen is the one Arlecchino uses, and she's bound to notice it's missing in t minus three, two—and then she knocks, earlier than expected. She opens the door, your student's heads turning from their books and worksheets to her, and you look up, already holding her pen. It's obvious the tension between you, and both of your students are unaware that you're both already married to one another. The mutual ring seems to be invisible to them.

"I believe my pen came into your possession recently?" She walks closer to you, and extends her hand. Once you place the pen into her palm, your hands brush briefly. Your students would cling onto that for weeks, and discuss every detail of this interaction with her class. Arlecchino chuckles, purposefully letting the touch linger for a moment too long to be considered casual before taking her pen and slipping it into her pocket. Just then, the bell rings for lunch period, and all of your class files out of the room.

After they all leave, you both have to hold in your laughs, letting occasional snorts out in nothing but humour. Your wife places her hand onto your upper arm, smiling softly. "...Do we tell them of our relationship?" Her eyes swiftly brush over the ring on her finger and then your own. Her smile drops, shrinking to a smaller grin. "First it was swapping the tests we meant to give out, then erasers, and now my pen." The sunlight makes for a majestic scene, and you chuckle too.
