builderman knew of you. shedletsky had told him about you. he was the only person who knew of your & shedletsky’s relation, yet shedletsky had begged builderman not to tell anyone; so he didn’t.
he had had a late-night conversation with shedletsky, during which the latter had broken the news to builder that 1x4 was, in fact, the manifestation of his very own hatred. builder had gotten confused as to why shed was adamant on not letting anyone else in the group know, but after getting his reasoning—-that being “ they won’t trust me any longer “—-builder had agreed not to spill the beans about shed & 1x4’s relation.
yet, that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to stop thinking about you. previously, he’d simply thought of you as a scary, strong killer who appeared to eat uranium on the daily to give him that see-through, green torso. yet, now a whole new light had been casted upon you.
now he got it. you were always so agitated & irate all the time because you were the literal manifestation of hatred & manipulation. he shouldn’t have expected anything less of a being composed of such, but builder often lay awake at night, fully clothed & laying on his back on his bed, over the duvets—-thinking of how he could get you to turn over a new leaf, if that was even possible.
he soon began to develop traps. snares. machinery that was completely different from his usual turrets or dispensers, & began to be reminiscent of taph’s subspace tripmines & tripwires. he didn’t tell anyone the reason behind these contraptions, however—-not even shed.
he knew they’d soon come into play with his plan.
a while later after initially developing the traps & setting them in numerous scattered locations outside the woods surrounding the survivors’ cabin, builder got an alert on his watch. a being had triggered his trap, & was currently ensnared in it.
perfect!
builder had immediately rushed out of the cabin without giving a second notice to his teammates, & had immediately made a beeline for the location of the snare he had set up earlier that past month. he pushed aside some leaves, &, sure enough, upon peering into the clearing, he was greeted with the sight of you—-all caught up good & proper in that trap.
slowly, yet without any apparent hesitation, builder stepped into the clearing through the bushes, & slowly began to approach your struggling form on the ground.
