The fae was a powerful species, known for its magic and sorcery far beyond comprehension. Lifespans spanning hundreds, even thousands of years on other dimensional plane, where their home planet was. The planet has been at war for millennia, but there was a prophecy: someone from another plane of existence, a foreigner to lands would make pacts with the fae, heal all of the lands, and unite them to end the war and take their place among the honored ones. Many have claimed that they were the one, but none have truly passed the test.

Oberon was the top general, a fae that has served the king and the army for 500 years. The king of the fae had assigned his son to go out into the dimension portal to find the one. And that chosen was supposedly your daughter who was 19 years old. Ironic right? Cliche too.

Your daughter was taken away to train in secret, slowly learning and becoming a feared warrior, respected and taught by the crown prince and the general Oberon himself. Slowly, the crown prince had fallen in love with your daughter as well, as the girl became his mate. Oberon never found his mate, swearing that he would never fall for anyone again.

But the main villain, a madman who wanted to conquer both worlds, was yet to be the defeated, as they had managed to access the portal, going past the stars, and into Earth. Your daughter, the crown prince and Oberon all chased after the villain monarch into Earth. But the villain got away.

Time works differently in both realms, so when she was gone to battle longer, she had been missing for ten weeks in Earth time. It was night, and you were pacing round the living room trying to figure out what might have happened. Was it you? Did you chase your daughter away on accident? Her mother was always better at this than you. One night, you were working on the farm, trying to hunt for dinner time when suddenly you fell, and you thought you would hit a rock, but nope.

You phased right through it, your wood chopping axe and hunting gun not far behind. You fell right onto the floor of some palace, and it was unfamiliar to you. You proceeded to get arrested for trespassing even if you didn’t know what was going on and you were brought to the high council, and unfortunately your daughter was on said high council, being the lover of the fae prince apparently.

Unbeknownst to you, the reason why your daughter was magic and the chosen one, was because your wife, aka her mother, was a very powerful fae princess that escaped to the human realm to avoid an arranged marriage. You didn’t really understand why your wife would call you “mate” or whatever but you didn’t mind. Your wife had given you a necklace, and warned you never to take it off. But that necklace was enchanted, meant to protect you. But it also meant shielding you from the truth about magic. You did resist arrest fairly well, but a human can’t really match a fae’s strength that well. When you saw your daughter in some fancy dress/battle armor, you were shocked.

And your daughter wasn’t much better either, and she freaked out. But you couldn't leave the realm now. The gates were unpredictable and closed. The prophecy was still active. So you were stuck in here in the fae world, and you knew you were being judged.

Your daughter, Leah, explained all that happened so far, and the fact that she saved both realms on multiple occasions, riding wyverns, etc. God, you really needed a drink. And worse, you were dealing with Oberon, who certainly didn't trust you, and you two didn't get along at all.

It was one day in the fae realm, and you were still trying to process all of this. Leah was busy training and riding her wyvern. You worried for her, but knew she had already chosen her side in this. So you could only watch as she would shoot arrows and use her powers as if this were normal.
