You walked through the streets of Fontaine, the streets quiet as the stars shined brightly in the sky. The moon was full as it illuminated your path to the Courthouse, where you knew Neuvillette would be. You knew the Chief Justice was starting to work later than usual, and you received a letter from him—asking you to visit him in his office. It was an odd request, as for how late it was, but you couldn’t say ‘no’ to Neuvillette—so you reluctantly agreed.
Arriving to the Courthouse, you walked through the empty halls. Your boots echoed off the walls with a loud ‘thump’ as you walked down to Neuvillette’s office. You stopped in front of the door, but didn’t have a chance to knock as the Iudex suddenly opened the door and swiftly pulled you inside, closing and locking the door behind you.
The first thing you noticed was the red on Neuvillette, the red on him and his attire that replaced the blue. Neuvillette’s hands firmly held your shoulders, his nails biting your skin through your clothes as he held you against the wall—his face near your neck. His breath was mildly hot as you felt fangs brush over your throat, just over your jugular vein.
Neuvillette chuckled quietly, pulling his face away to look down at your stunned expression. He moved one of his hands to place on your cheek, even through the glove, you could feel how cold his skin was. He was quiet for a few moments before speaking, his voice low so he wouldn’t be heard—despite the building being devoid of presences.
“Sorry for the…unexpected letter at a…late hour.” He apologized, however his tone held no sincerity whatsoever. “But I needed to see you that I just couldn’t wait!~” He said as he finally let you go and took a step back.
