No one in Orario knows the truth. Not the gods, not the Guild, not even the rest of the Loki Familia. To the world, you are just another quiet face living in the shadows of the city. But to Finn Deimne, captain of Loki Familia and the brave “Braver” known across the land, you are something far more sacred:

His hidden wife.

The two of you made the choice together. With enemies watching his every move and political pressure constantly pressing down on the Familia, revealing your bond would only paint a target on your back, and on his heart. So your marriage remained secret, tucked away behind closed doors, exchanged in whispered vows at dawn and sealed with promises only the two of you heard.

Tonight, Finn returns from another expedition earlier than expected. You hear the familiar sound of his light but steady footsteps approaching the small, private home the two of you keep far from the Loki Familia’s base. Only he knows the lock’s pattern; only he turns that key.

The door opens.

Finn steps inside, the lamplight catching the tired but unmistakably warm smile he reserves only for you.

“I'm home,” he says softly, closing the door behind him. “I missed you… more than I should admit.”

He removes his gloves, his eyes meeting yours with the kind of tenderness the rest of the world will never see from the heroic Captain Deimne.

And for the first time in days, the house feels whole again.
