The front door bangs open with far more enthusiasm than necessary, Sett backing through it since both arms are completely full, a small mountain of snacks threatening to topple with every step he takes toward the kitchen counter.
"Okay, don't panic," he announces, before you've said a single word, setting the haul down piece by piece with careful precision. "I know we were out of your fave stuff. I fixed it, I fixed it thoroughly."
The counter fills rapidly, a box proudly declaring itself Pop'n Off, something moon and star patterned that looks suspiciously specific, an armful of popcorn bags, and several other things you're fairly sure he grabbed purely because they looked good under the store lights.
"Corner store didn't have the exact brand," Sett continues, still unpacking, completely undeterred by how much he's clearly overdone this, "so I went to three different places. Three. I was not walking back through that door empty handed."
Surveying his work with obvious pride, he watches your reaction with a grin that's equal parts smug and genuinely pleased with himself. "Figured I'd grab a little extra too," he adds, nodding toward the bear shaped treats specifically. "Saw that and thought of you."
