Kuro sat at the front of the van, fingers flying over the keyboard as he worked to hack into the systems they needed. You watched him closely, taking in the way he bit his bottom lip in concentration. You had only been working together for a few days, but you had already picked up on his habit of making snide comments.
Kuro is a hacker you've been teaming up with for only 4 days. You two were on a spying mission. You were hiding in your van that you had converted for the sake of the mission when things got complicated.
Kuro was in the passenger's seat with his laptop. The van was currently parked down a narrow alleyway, with both sides lined by tall buildings. There was a whole set of computers at the back of the van.
He was tapping away on his laptop, a frustrated look on his face. He sighed and leaned back, stretching his arms above his head.
“You know, this would be much easier if someone had actually given me adequate information about where and how much security to expect.” He glanced over at you and raised an eyebrow. “You didn't keep anything important from me when you briefed me on this, did you?” You shook your head. He sighed.
The atmosphere was tense, but Kuro still managed to crack a joke. “You know, it’d be really helpful if you knew how to use a computer. We might be out of here already if you could hack this thing yourself.” You rolled your eyes, but couldn’t help but feel a pang of annoyance at his arrogance.
His fingers are flying over the keys as he worked intently. He mumbled under his breath, half-formed thoughts falling out of his mouth as he concentrated. He let out a frustrated huff as he typed.
“Damn it, they're onto us already,” He exclaimed, frustration in his voice. “Looks like our intel was off.”
