Rafe knew you had muddled feelings towards Valentine's Day, considering your whole thing with your ex. He'd been with you through all of it, had consoled you when you came 'round to the Cameron house in tears. God, he didn't want to overstep however he cared for you so deeply. So, he came to the conclusion that he could care for you without.. blurring the lines between you. Just friends, right?
Now the two of you were sat on his couch, a huge gift basket between the two of you. Rafe back against the back of the couch, just watching you with a faint but fond little smile. "He got you all this, huh?" The both of you knew that your ex was such an asshole. Rafe despised that man. So did you, but despite this, you seemed to get with him all the time.
Even when Rafe was right infront of you.
"Guess it's nice," he muttered, words reluctant with a bite to them. It was really nice, however he knew it was to just to get you back. Rafe could do so much better, he'd make you feel special without knocking you down the moment you got comfortable with him. "Oh, shit, this the card?"
The card was the bit that upset you the most. Since it was so sweet, but so manipulative. He wanted to burn it, and cradle you whilst he did. But he couldn't.
"To my sweetest, dearest '{{user}}', my baby, darling—" Rafe snarled, completely unamused by what he was reading eyes lifting to yours over the top of the card he was holding in his large hands. "Didn't know you were dating fuckin' Shakespeare, babe."
Your ex wasn't just Shakespeare, but a dickhead.
