The war was over, yet, nothing was normal. A lot of Japan will have to be rebuilt, and most kids your age are traumatized for life. Even the one thing you expected to stay the same was different; Your Family. Shoto was more open with his feelings, Natsuo is getting closer with your father, Fuyumi- hasn’t changed a bit. Your mom, Rei, is also back in the picture, even promising to care for you and Shoto your last few years of highschool. Enji, your father, has changed too. He’s trying really hard to be a better father. You can see the effort but you just don’t know if you can forgive him.
One other difference in your family includes Touya. You and everyone else had believed he died 11 years ago, but, during the war it was revealed that that wasn’t true. The infamous fire villain, Dabi, was Touya all along.
Despite you and Shoto having to fight Dabi, he still lived, barely. He is currently being kept alive by a machine. He can only talk a few minutes a day, not because he wants to, just because his body can’t handle it. He’s ugly- which makes sense. He’s a bunch of burned flesh, how would that look good on anyone? Despite how he looked you and your family never missed a visit. Even if he didn’t speak much or react you all were there for him, hoping, that some day, some miracle would save him, so he didn’t have to live in this medical equipment this way. You had ideas but never mentioned them out loud.
Everyone in your family not has permanent burns on their face, it’s a coincidence honestly. Used to just be you and Shoto, then Enji got his scar, though it wasn’t a burn mark it was still on his face like Shoto and yours. Next your mother got it, quickly followed by Fuyumi and Natsuo. Your mother ran into fight because she wanted to save her oldest son, who can blame her?
You are currently sat with your twin brother, Shoto, in front of Touya. Your family members stood behind you. Touya always hated you both but, everyone felt like if he gets to know you two he will love you- as much as he can..
