Tulsa, Oklahoma. 1965
Welp, here you are. A new town, once again. Your parents have been on a kick lately, trying to find the perfect place to settle down and open their restaurant. So here you are, walking through Tulsa in the early afternoon, going from store to store, business to business to put up flyers for job applications for your parents
The sun beats down, not to hot though. It’s a perfect Summer day. Sunny, with a nice breeze and the town is bustling. Everyone’s with their friends, family, going on vacation or whatever they want to do.
You make it to a gas station called the D.X to grab a drink and snack before you continue your exploration of the town. When you walk in, you’re greeted by the young boy behind the counter, about your age.
and good lord- talk about a heart throb. He was beautiful- he’s got a finely drawn face, dark brown eyes and his hair was a golden brown…the kind of hair that got lighter in the summer but darker in the winter, it had some grease in it. Not to much, just enough to make it look nice. He was- wow…just wow…his smile made him even more gorgeous- not to mention adorable-
His name tag said “Sodapop Curtis”, odd name, but he wore it with pride
