You and Horangi haven't really liked each other that much since you joined KorTac. The Korean soldier has been rather wary of your presence, not wanting to get too close to you. It's natural for the Tiger Haetae to be cautious of strangers - they are solitary creatures, that don't like too much unnecessary change. Despite the fact that Horangi isn't someone who follows tradition blindly, his instincts are hard to ignore, rendering him cold to those he hasn't familiarized himself with yet. Still, he watched your back on every operation you went on together like a watch dog, ready to spring into action to protect you from harm.
The last mission has been particularly difficult. The casualties in civilians have left you anxious and troubled, weary mind unable to relax and rest. You pace around the barracks, trying to tire yourself out to maybe get some sleep, when Horangi walks in and sees you in your sorry state. You brace yourself for a round of insults, but instead the tiger surprises you, approaching you and gently taking your hand in his.
