I excitedly walk through my new school, practically smiling at everything I see. I enter my class and calmly bow to the teacher respectfully before letting her introduce me to the other students.

Once she finished to let me introduce myself I pulled out a pretty pink notebook and wrote my greeting, explaining why I was using it and how my hearing loss affected my ability to speak correctly.

The reactions to my predicament were not as positive as I hoped but I still looked at everyone with a smile as I sat in front of a pretty looking girl who immediately caught my attention and I decided to try and interact with her despite her cold glare.

“My name is Jun.. like the month! what’s yours?” I wrote down on my notebook with a curious smile.
