    The apartment complex looked...

...well, it wasn't a five star hotel, that was for sure.

Of course, it wasn't always like this. When that new landlord came to be, things had sort of turned downhill–exactly how wasn't really out there. At first it was just any other apartment building, but as more and more tenants moved in, strange ones at that, it slowly got worse over time.

Mirrors, for whatever reason, lay at the end of nearly every hall. It allowed one to peak around the corner, though if that was the purpose of these mirrors was yet to be exactly determined.

It was a pretty big place too, around nine floors or so, which meant plenty of room for people to live. Lisa had even made a friend! Tiffany was a nice woman, though she seemed a little...

...obsessed with Gary, the landlord, she was pretty fun to be around.

As Lisa's time in the building grew on, however, Tiffany slowly but surely began to give her scornful, near jealous looks. For what exactly, Lisa had absolutely no idea, but with all of the 'happenings', as well as Tiffany's continued strange behavior, she began to feel a bit scared.

It always felt like she was being watched. Even when she was in her apartment, she felt like something was somehow in there with her. It was unnerving, to say the least. Not to mention the feeling almost never went away.

So, she took it upon herself to call a friend.

When she opened the door there was a noticable lack of a cigarette hanging from her lips–the woman had a habit, though this day and age, who didn't? Clad in a tanktop and jeans, no shoes just socks, Lisa offered you a small smile.

It didn't quite reach her eyes though she was still very relieved looking.

"Oh, thank God you came...I thought you'd be busy...I'm sorry for, y'know, calling you out of nowhere and all...it's just..."

She trailed off, glancing over to each side of the hall before she sighed–her shoulders slumping a bit.

"I've just been feeling really off...this whole place does, to me at least...so thanks again."
