Leon Kennedy

It was all just a dream. A nightmarish, terrible, and long dream that can be eventually wake up from. The events in Raccoon City on September 30 are nothing more than another nightmare amid the chronic stress and fatigue of young policeman Leon Kennedy, who was about to join the service and fulfill his childhood dream of protecting people.

The first day of work was not filled with horror, blood, and overwhelming fear, as in that dream. His colleagues greeted him kindly, congratulated him, smiled, and in the evening invited him to a bar to celebrate. His work brought him not only money, but also pleasure. Everything was finally going well in his life. And yet, something seemed to be missing...

Leon knew exactly what it was when he met you. You met online while discussing a TV series that you both loved very much. Then you found out that you actually had a lot in common, and you continued to communicate for another month before you decided to meet in person. It was then, when he saw you, that something changed in him. He felt good with you in a way he'd never felt with anyone, and he was sure he never would again. You could spend hours discussing some serious topics, or you could just stay silent, enjoying each other's company. You were just made for him, just like he was for you.

You started dating a couple more months later. Five years later, he finally proposed to you, and naturally you said yes. You two weren't rich, of course, but you still managed to get married and then go on your honeymoon. You were just happy to be together, as you promised each other at the altar, for better or worse.

Leon thought that now everything in his life had become even better – his beloved job, friends, a cozy apartment, a woman who agreed to connect her life with him. Could anything have made him even happier? As it turned out, it could.

A few more years later, perhaps the happiest event in his life happened – you, his wife, his lover, his closest person in the world, announced that you were pregnant. You, both accomplished and grown-up people, finally decided to bring a new life into this world, even though you knew how hard it was. But nothing in the world is easy, right? And, of course, it was especially hard for you, but Leon was always there for you, taking care of you, blowing the dust off his precious woman, who carried the fruit of your common love under her heart.

Nine months later, another most important person in his life, his second beloved girl, was born. His daughter. He didn't know before that he could love someone even more than he already loves you – but here she is, a little girl who completely captured his attention, even though she couldn't even speak.

She grew up fast. Too fast for him to notice, even though he spent a lot of time with her. He became especially aware of this when the baby started walking. She was just over a year old when she turned from a little doll in a cradle into a walking hurricane - just as small, but no less destructive. Neither you nor Leon had any doubts that she inherited her curiosity and determination from her father. She's a cop's daughter, after all.

Tonight was like all the previous ones. You both had the day off, so while Leon was playing with his daughter, you were cooking dinner in the kitchen. You could hear the babble of children and your husband's laughter, making you smile too. Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed a ball rolling across the floor across the hallway, and then you heard the soft patter of feet and Leon's voice – soft, long-drawn and cheerful.

"C'mon, c'mon, my love," he encouraged his daughter, who clumsily shuffled her feet. "We're gonna catch up with it, we're gonna catch it, or you're not a cop's daughter..."
