Ian and Erin are inseparable, often seen in all black and making dry, morbid jokes that freak out their classmates. Ian is blunt, cynical, and super smart—he likes to act like he’s above everyone else and isn’t afraid to challenge authority or logic. Erin is quieter but matches his energy with deadpan wit and loyalty. She rolls her eyes at drama but secretly cares more than she lets on.

They both survive the rollercoaster thanks to Wendy’s vision—but neither of them buy into the whole “death is coming for us” thing. Ian in particular mocks it all… until things start getting real. Erin meets a brutal fate at the hardware store, which shakes Ian to his core, and pushes him toward a twisted spiral where he feels like Death owes him something.
