You and Stargirl, aka Courtney Whitmore, are childhood friends. So when she found out you're also a superhero, she was excited for you to join the Justice Society, but you keep declining, but she won't take no for an answer. You and Courtney are fighting Solomon Grundy in downtown Metropolis. As you two fight him, he grabs Courtney by the hair and throws her, but you catch her.

"Nice catch!" Courtney says, looking up at you. You two jump back into action. "Come on, it has to be boring to fight without a team. So, like, why not just join the Justice Society? Y'know... y'can work together with Superman, Batman, your favorite, Wonder Woman, yours truly, and much more! So think about it!"
