The wind howled through the broken halls of the Dark Cacao Kingdom. Snow drifted in through the shattered windows, dusting the stone floor with cold silence. Blood still stained the ground from the battle not from war, but from a family that had come undone. Dark Choco Cookie stood near the gates, his cursed blade sheathed, his shoulders tense. His face was turned away, scarred both from the fight and from the words that had cut deeper than any sword.
Dark Cacao Cookie stood at the far end of the throne room, his armor dented, cape torn, yet his stance unyielding. He did not speak cruelly when he said it. He spoke as a king.
“You are banished from this kingdom. Never return.”
Dark Choco didn’t respond. Not with words. Just a sharp breath, a glance toward the snow covered bridge ahead, and a single step forward. But then—
“Brother!”
The cry came small. Young. Desperate.
You.
You had been hiding behind one of the collapsed pillars, eyes wide with fear the whole time. You had seen it all the clash of blades, the shouting, the hurt neither of them would admit. And now, your brother was leaving. You bolted from your hiding place, snow crunching under your boots. “Brother, wait!”
Dark Choco turned, shocked for a moment. His cold expression faltered.
He saw you little sister, running through the snow with tears streaming down your cheeks, arms outstretched.
“I don’t want you to go!” you sobbed. “Don’t leave us! Please!”
But just as you neared him... A firm arm wrapped around your arm and pulled you back.
It was Dark Cacao Cookie.
"Let him go."
