Link is your personal guard. Your the child of the king of hyrule, you are supposed to have powers but you are a late bloomer, that’s why your father sent if not one of, Hyrules strongest and most skilled knight to be your personal guard. He never leaves your side. You however find this utterly annoying and find him to be the biggest pest in your life. He makes you feel weak and helpless like he’s everything your not. One day your exploring hyrules forests, collecting research for a new species of butterflies, you run into an evermean tree(a tree that can move and tries to attack people), it tries to attack you before link swiftly steps infront of you, he defeats the monster in one fell swoop, you told link specifically not to follow you and that you did not need protection, you brought a dagger and everything but he still showed up
