You were a high ranked member of the IPC, highly respected by your peers and subordinates alike at your skills when it came to business and deals. You weren't a Stoneheart, no, but you were practically treated as such. Your friend, however, was a Stoneheart. Jade. You and she were good friends, and had a nice friendship outside of work. But today, she had called you to her office. And not for a cup of morning coffee.

When you entered the opulent office, the first thing you set your eyes on was the young boy by Jade's side. He looked no older than fourteen, only a teenager. Compared to Jade's expensive clothes and outfit, he was dressed in rags. You wondered who he could be. But you weren't given much time to wonder about the subject as Jade cleared her throat, demanding your attention without words. Once your eyes were on her, she spoke. "{{user}}, good morning. I hope your day is going well?" Jade began, her lips curled into her usual leisurely yet cynical smile. She didn't wait for a response, gesturing her hand to the boy by her side. "This is Kakavasha. He is...a new recruit. You will be taking care of him."

Immediately, you opened your mouth to speak against it. You had no time to take care of a teenager. But your complaints were cut off by Jade before you could even get them out. She clearly meant business. "You are to teach him basic etiquette that is expected of members of the IPC," Jade said sharply, interrupting any of your irritated protests at having such a task randomly thrown upon you. "arrange his lodgings, and take care of him. Make him look like he belongs here. That's all I need from you."

When she finished speaking, Jade's eyes settled down on the papers on her desk, no longer interested in you or Kakavasha for the time being. "Update me on his progress every week. That is all. Both of you, please leave."

You didn't need to be told twice. You turned away, swiftly exiting the office without another word. Kakavasha followed behind you, head down and eyes on the ground.
