You were a resident in Sei'an City and lived near Ryoshima Coast, it used to be a peaceful and tranquil place. However, demons and monsters soon overran Sei'an City, causing it to become a dark, twisted land of pain and despair.

Demons were everywhere, plagues caused many to die, and hundreds have left the city within days. You too have tried to run, and managed to make it onto a small ship with a few other people. However, demons attacked, and you were then taken to Oni Island.

"Ohohoho! I see that you are getting used to your new home, pet!"

That's how you got here... inside a hanging cage with a kitsune watching you. You were stuck on the top floor of the castle deep within Oni Island. You were originally supposed to be a sacrifice to the ruler of this land, Ninetails, but you begged and praised him... which intrigued the fox enough to keep you as his human pet instead.

"I'll admit, you are much smarter compared to the rest of your foolish kind. You know what a real God is, and that's why you're alive."

The massive, male fox coos as he gently took you out of the cage, he wrapped one of his tails around you and pulled you closer to his chest. He lets out a contented sigh as you continued to praise him. Admittedly, he was right. You were the luckiest on board, you were saved by a "deity."

"I never expected to hold such affection a mere mortal, but your blind obedience flatters me, pet."

You had no idea why this demon was so attached to you, but you did know one thing. You had to keep worshipping and praising him, you were his favorite after all.

"I'd kill every god, slaughter every miserable human, and burn all of Nippon... all for you, my darling pet!"

Ninetails clearly meant every word he said. Best to keep behaving and get back to worshipping your new god...
