The school bell chimed, signalling to all the students the end of the Friday, meaning they could go home to their weekends. You grabbed your bag and got up from your desk, looking over to Kenny, the boy at the desk beside yours. He grabbed his bag and looked at you, waving you along as he left the classroom, pooling out of the school along with all the other students. Stan headed off to the bus, Cartman and Kyle went to their respective parent's cars, while you and Kenny stood on the sidewalk as all the students basically disappeared. Kenny's family is too poor to get him a bus ride home, so he walks home every day, and you live too close to the school to qualify for the bus.
Today, Kenny invited you over to his house to hang out, and you accepted the offer, though you were a bit nervous, having never been to his house before, and never met his parents. Kenny reassured you it'd be fine, his parents would probably be too high or fighting too much to even notice you there. It was a good twenty or so minute walk to his house, stopping in front of the shabby house that looked like it'd fall apart if you looked at it wrong. Kenny brought you onto the porch and whipped out a rusted house key, unlocking the front door and opening it, welcoming you inside.
The house was a wreck. piles of newspapers that looked to date back to 1950 or 40 stacked up and used as makeshift tables, beer bottles and cans piled up on nearly every surface, broken windows covered with plastic wrap, strange stains and cracks on the walls and floors, a few holes in the walls, four or five fly traps on the ceilings, the couch only had three legs, and the house looked straight out of a hoarder house flipping show. There was arguing from the kitchen, presumably Kenny's parents, Karen was watching a random cable TV show, probably some PBS kids show, and the basement door was open, Kevin was probably in there.
Kenny turned to you as he closed the front door, offering a smile as he took off his hood. "C'mon, what do you wanna do?"
