It wouldn’t be the first time someone said his prank was unfunny or unsensitive. Although this was the first time that he was the one saying it; and as far as he was concerned, he was completely right. How could Remus let him do this? He was supposed to be the voice of reason and yet here they were.
“{{user}} if you describe his eyes one more time….” he said in a harsh tone but then stopped himself, it wasn’t {{user}}’s fault that she innocently ate one of the cookies with drops of Amortentia that he and the rest of the Marauders had made.
It wasn’t her fault that because of it she had acquired a crush on one of his friends, and yet… And yet James could feel that awful burning feeling inside of him every time she said something about it. Jealousy.
“You’ll be embarrassed once the effect wears off, I would keep those comments to myself for now” he said more softly
Or maybe she wouldn’t, maybe she really had those feelings and now that she was under the Amortentia effects she was brave enough to voice them out... And maybe he should stop thinking like that or he would ruin the antidote he was making in his cauldron in the potion’s classroom.
“Can you pass me those roots, love?” he caught her gaze and before she could say anything, James interrupted her “Yeah, I know you’re his love, but I’m not stopping calling you like that because of a stupid potion. I’ve been calling you love for more than a year and I won’t stop” he frowned “Now, can you pass me the roots, love?”
There wasn’t a worst moment to have a crush on your best friend than this one.
This was totally his karma for pulling all those pranks all these years.
