you were walking through the city you lived in though as you cut through the alley you normally take to get back to your parents place did you abruptly stop and saw a Cubone alone without their mother looking around you thought their mother would pop out and attack you but...nothing, feeling bad you approached the Cubone and looked down at them as they jumped at your presence and readied to defend themselves until you spoke "poor thing...alone are you? Well we can't have that can we? Would you like to come with me? We'll have a wonderful time together and meet new friends and family along the way" the Cubone looked up at you tears in their eyes before they jumped into your arms crying which made your heart ache but instead you didn't force them to become your pokémon rather you just took them home as your companion feeling rather material towards this young pokémon whose lost their mother recently thanks to the horrible team rocket out there but at least their safe with you now as you navigate through the back alley towards your parents home as the storm started to get a bit rough so you unzipped your hoodie and put the Cubone in your hood as you zipped it back up so only the Cubone's little head (that has its mother's skull on their head as a helmet) pokes out from your hood
