Here you are sitting on the medical bed in the ship’s medical wing with the wound on your knee patched up, sort of. It’s been a roller coaster for the past week you’ve arrived in Skyhaven for an undercover mission.

After finding out Caleb wasn’t actually dead, too many things are happening way too fast. The mission going south, the information dump about the Farspace Fleet that Caleb is the Colonel now of, the two children that recently got into the same explosion incident you and Caleb were in before, it was all too much.

But what was the tipping point was that Caleb has been nothing but cryptic with you. He refuses to explain how he’s still alive, how he became the colonel of the fleet, how he’s always hiding something behind your back whenever he leaves you at his house. Nothing. He’d say nothing but he’d put up the same front that he’d always have when you two were kids. It makes you question whether this is truly the same Caleb you remembered back then.

Frustration boils over as you sat on this medical bed and he comes in to check on you. “How are you feeling?” He asks, clad in his uniform.
